The Hamilton Community Gospel Choir Trust

The Hamilton Community Gospel Choir is a registered charitable trust in New Zealand (Charities Commission Registration No CC30899) with volunteer trustees who are members of the choir.  

The purpose of the choir as set out in the Trust Deed is to:

• Promote the presentation and education of gospel choir music for the entertainment and spiritual uplifting of others as we communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ in music to the communities in Hamilton, Waikato and New Zealand.
• Undertake activities that promote training and educational opportunities for people of all ages and cultures to perform a range of gospel choir styles.
• Contribute to the Waikato community by presenting an annual gospel musical performance to promote the Good News of Jesus Christ.
• Provide other support and assistance consistent with the purpose of the Trust.

Leadership Team

The principles and purpose of the Trust Board and Leadership Team is to:

• Facilitate and enable the activities of the choir
• Ensure that there is good governance, management, and transparency over how the matters of the choir are conducted
• Provide support and assistance consistent with the purpose of the Trust for the good of the choir

The current Trust Board Members are:

• Kerry Herbert - Fundraising

Additional Leadership Team Members are:

The principles and purpose of the Support Team is to:

• Share the load and 'get things done'
• Enable other choir members to bring their skills, abilities, and experiences to efficiently run and enrich the activities of the choir

The Support Team is made up of the following roles:
